Competition: C6 Herringbone griddle pan by Inga Sempé for Crane Cookware

8 May 2018

Arranged around a pattern of delicate fletching lines, the C6 Herringbone griddle pan is typical of designer Inga Sempé's wider oeuvre. The cast-iron pan is functional and robust, but nonetheless possessed of a visual wit and delicacy.

Now, Disegno is delighted to have partnered with the C6 Herringbone's manufacturer Crane Cookware on a competition to win one of the griddle pans.

Sempé designed the pan in 2017. The Herringbone's titular grill lines channel cooking juices towards the two pouring spouts that sit at one end of the grill, while large handles are intended to provide ease of movement.

The pan is made from vitreous enamalled cast iron, and was cast in France by Godin.

Sempé is a long-term collaborator of Disegno, contributing an article exploring the intricacies of her design process in Disegno #2.

The C6 Herringbone griddle pan retails at £145 and will be available to buy from
